Based between Shanghai, Beijing, and Hong Kong, she brings a cross-disciplinary production background to her work behind the camera. Before focusing fully on cinematography, Finn worked across different roles in film, TVC, television, and video production, giving her a practical understanding of how visual decisions connect with production realities.
Her work includes commercial campaigns, factual television, short documentaries, independent films, corporate films, travel shows, and branded content. She has worked across China, Hong Kong, and Asia, collaborating with both Chinese and international teams.
Finn's approach is built around preparation, responsibility, and visual clarity. She is interested in shaping images that serve the story rather than repeating a fixed aesthetic.
In addition to her work as a cinematographer and director, Finn has worked across production management, coordination, translation, and on-set support. Her earlier roles included production management, camera assistance, VFX coordination, translation, and head of production responsibilities, giving her a practical understanding of how creative decisions, crew communication, schedule, and logistics connect on set.
This makes her useful not only as a DP / DOP, but also as a bilingual production collaborator for international teams filming in China, Hong Kong, and the region.
